Course Information
Outline of Proposed
Courses:
Tuition will be undertaken by native French teachers holding
a DALF, or
equivalent, qualification in teaching French as a foreign language. The
classes will consist of no more than seven students of similar ability.
Classes will be selected by a means of assessment at the time of
application.
All
classes, with the exception of beginners, will be conducted in French.
Beginners will be given tuition in the structure of the French language in
English, but will be encouraged to utilise their newly acquired skills in
conversation through role-plays and social integration. In order to give
every opportunity for language practice and development French will be the
principal language spoken throughout the course. There will be regular
de-briefings and assessments to make sure that students have measurable
guides to their personal progress and satisfaction with the course.
Courses are designed to
incorporate traditional teaching methods with live inter-active discussion
sessions facilitated by a tutor. These sessions will be based on external
visits to local businesses and cultural activities, thus encouraging
Students to develop speaking and writing skills
